When we’re neck-deep in running our businesses or doing our jobs, it’s easy to forget things. Like, how do our customers see us? What is it like doing business with us? Are we easy to work with? What experiences are we giving our customers?

Our daily tasks can gobble up all our time and attention, if we let them. And if we do, we lose. We lose the ability to see our business as others do. That perspective is not only valuable. it’s critical. It’s critical if we are to operate our business in a way that serves our customers better than any other. It’s critical if we want our customers to come back more often, do more business with us and tell others about us.

We need to see our businesses as our customers do. Then we’ll understand best how to serve them the way they want to be served.
