When we are helping customers, we don’t want to take anything for granted. It’s easy for us to disregard or dismiss things we think are not important. But we’re not driving the process – our customers are. We’re there to help them accomplish what they want.
If we pay attention to everything it’s less likely we’ll miss the important stuff. Understand though, I’m not saying we act on everything. And I’m not suggesting we give everything an equal priority. Of course not.
But we want to keep on full alert to everything our customer says and does. The more information we have, the better we can help help them.
