Amazing Service Spans the Globe

One of the principles of Amazing Customer Service is to talk with your customers. So I do this. Since my customers and readers are all over I often do this via email. I always find this one of the most enjoyable aspect of my work.

But as I have connected with more of my readers recently I have been amazed at just how global they are. So I did some analysis. At last count my newsletter subscribers are from 48 countries that include every continent except Antarctica.

Here are the top 10 countries my newsletter readers come from along with the percentage of my subscribers from that country:

USA 66%
UK 4.8%
Canada 4.3%
India 2.6%
Australia 2.2%
South Africa 2.2%
Nigeria 2.1%
Singapore 1.6%
Malaysia 1.4%
Philippines 1.3%

Other countries that get my daily and weekly newsletters:

Bahamas
Bangladesh
Cayman Islands
China
Columbia
Egypt
Finland
France
Ghana
Greece
Guam (Part of USA)
Guatemala
Hong Kong
Iran
Ireland
Italy
Jamaica
Kenya
Latvia
Lebanon
Germany
Macau
Netherlands
New Zealand
Pakistan
Peru
Puerto Rico (Part of USA)
Portugal
Qatar
Romania
Saint Lucia
Spain
Sri Lanka
Thailand
Trinidad Tobago
United Arab Emirates
Vietnam
Zambia

Here’s why I’m sharing this with you. First, I think it’s amazing that an average guy from Minnesota can connect with so many people from around the world. This shows what wonderful opportunities we have because of Internet and related technologies.

Second, it shows us how important good customer service is. The desire to deliver better customer service is clearly a global one. It crosses industries, organization size, and geopolitical boundaries. And that’s a good thing!

Finally, I’d like to thank all the people who read my website, newsletters and books. Every writer needs an audience and I’m glad you’re mine.

Make it an Amazing day!
