I also have issues with my local Target store located in Inglewood, CA. I am a phyisically disabled shopper and require the use of a scooter in order to navigate the store for my purchases.
My last five visits have been very frustrating because their scooter are always either broken down, or have not been charged. No one seems to be in charge of that task, so I and others who need this aide, are left to wonder if Target even wants to serve the disabled shopper.
After a wasted trip last week, I wrote HQ and asked them to fix the problem. I went back to the same Target yesterday, one week later, and nothing has changed. The four scooters looked like a bunch of kiddie bumper cars, angled this way and that, and not one of them was plugged into the wall for charging. The manager has a very polite BS explanation.
In today's mail I received a BS letter from HQ informing me that, under the ADA, they are not required to offer such assistance, yadi, yadi, yadi, etc.
So......why not just pull the scooters out altogether, rather than perpetrate a fraud on the disabled public?
